Learning Log for December

Upcoming Events:

Dec. 17th - Jan. 1st - Winter Break: Please come check out a backpack of activities to take with you where-ever you go on holiday.

Reading:
This month is very exciting!! We will begin to sound out words and bring home our first decodable book!

We will also be learning more sight words this month (a, went, to). These are words we memorize and do not try to sound out. They are the most frequently used words in our language. We will bring home little books that have these words in them. PLEASE WRITE THESE ON THE CALENDAR WHEN YOU READ THEM:)

Writing: We are using our new words I, see, to, went, like, a to write stories of at least 2 sentences with spaces in between each word.
