Reading: The comprehension skills we will be working on will be catagorize and classify and story structure:beginning, middle and end. Students will learn strategies to help them "read" such as questioning, monitoring and clarifying and summarizing. The students are beginning to read more fluently and the best way to improve this is by remembering to read your little books EVERYNIGHT!

We will learn the sounds of the letters Dd, Zz, Oo, Xx
We will also be learning more sight words this month (for, have, was). These are words we memorize and do not try to sound out. They are the most frequently used words in our language. We will bring home little books that have these words in them as well as words you can sound out. PLEASE WRITE THESE ON THE CALENDAR WHEN YOU READ THEM:)
